Through research and community-engaged scholarship, and in keeping with its vision of being a great private university dedicated to the public good, DU is determined to make the world a better, healthier, safer, cleaner and happier place.
And our efforts are gaining momentum. As of June 30, 2018, DU’s annual research and development expenditures totaled $30.5 million, representing year-over-year growth of nearly 7 percent and total growth over just three years of more than 40 percent.
Just as striking, the number of faculty funded by external awards increased 7 percent from the previous year. Over the last decade, the number of external awards has jumped by an impressive 70 percent.
